Builders Square is the first Comparison Shopping site focused exclusively on

Builders Square does not sell any products directly. We provide all the tools

What newsletters do you offer?
Builders Square currently offers a single general newsletter that will keep you
informed of both product and community news at Builders Square.
We have plans to offers several other newsletters that will focus on specific
areas of interest.
What is the difference between newsletters and email
alerts?
Email alerts are designed to notify you as quickly as possible when a product
has reached your specified price point. You may enable as many of these alerts
as you wish, for any product on our site. Our Newsletter covers a broader range
of topics, from recommended products to new site features.
How do I subscribe / unsubscribe?
You may opt in or out of receiving our Newsletter by visiting your
My Email page. There you’ll find links to subscribe and unsubscribe to
our newsletter.

How do I search for a particular product?
You have a variety of options for finding the product you’re after.
Browse Categories – Builders Square provides an intuitive and optimized
product category structure that will guide you to what you’re looking for. You
can start browsing right from the Builders Square
Home page, where we list our top level categories. Just click on one and
you’re off and running!
Search – At the top of every page, you’ll find our Search box. Simply
type in a description of what you’re looking for, and we’ll bring back all
products in our catalog that match your criteria.
Search Tip: Make your search criteria as specific as possible, that way
we can show you the products that are most likely to match what you’ve got in
mind. Using Model Numbers and / or Manufacturer names is always a good way to
find a specific product.
Search Refinement – Once you’ve executed a browse or search and have a
list of products, you can refine the results by using the Search Refinement
options presented on the left side of the page. Builders Square maintains an
extremely large product catalog and these refinement options can be very
helpful in narrowing down an initial search result.
Why does the price listed on Builder’s Square differ
from that on the sellers' own web site?
Occasionally, you may find that a product price listed on our site differs from
the price presented when you click through to the merchant site. We receive
product pricing information from our merchants on a daily basis, and then
publish it to our site as quickly as possible. During that time period, there
may be some discrepancy between our price listing for a product and what a
specific merchant is currently offering that product for. We are constantly
improving our process for updating merchant offers and finding ways to keep
this occurrence to a minimum.
How do I get a product manual?
Currently, Builders Square does not distribute manuals for the products listed
on our site – though we are considering adding these in the future. We do
offer, however, interactive product demonstrations for some of the products on
our site. Check out the Interactive Tools section of our site to see what’s
available – we’re always adding more! Otherwise, the best place to find product
manuals is directly from the manufacturer. Try their web site first, and if you
can’t find manuals for download, you’ll likely be able to find a support number
you can call and request a manual.
How should I use product ratings?
Product Ratings are provided to assist you in making a product purchase decision. When
considering which product you should buy, the experience of other Builders
Square users with that same product can be invaluable information. Any
registered Builders Square user can submit a product review, and in that review
we ask the user to grade that product on specific criteria. The score for each
is then used to calculate a total Product Rating for that user. We then average
the ratings from all user reviews for this product to calculate a total Product
Rating for that item.
How do I add a product rating?
On every Product Detail page, you will find the current rating (if one exists)
for that product. You can click on the Add a Review link for that product to
create your own review and rating for that product. Note: You must be a
registered Builders Square user to create product reviews and ratings. If you

Can I save products?
Yes, Builders Square understands that you want to shop your way, and offers
several options to save and group products in a way that’s most meaningful to
you. As a
registered user, you
can use any of the following methods:
Lists
Lists are a means to organize products in a way that makes sense to you. You can create as many lists as you
wish, name them whatever you like, and add as many products are you desire to
each list. Lists also allow you to see which product other Builders Square users are interested
in, how they’ve organized them, and read any notes / comments they may have
saved for each product. Products can be added to Lists directly from the
Product Detail page.
My Products
We allow each registered Builders Square user to maintain a primary products
page. You can add any item to this page from the Add to My Products link on the
Product Detail page. Use this feature for quick review of products you want to
track for new merchant offers, lower prices, or just as a reminder for products
you’re interested in.

Here’s where you can choose which product categories are most important to you
and configure your own page to highlight new products and price drops within
those categories – visit the
Configure My
Builders Square page to get started or update your current selections.
Published Pages
We’ve created a way for you to publish groupings of products and allow other
users to view them through a customized web page. As you build a page to be
published, we’ll create a unique web address (URL) that you can send to anybody
(friends, family, clients, etc.).
If you haven’t used this feature yet, get started at the
Create a Public Page section.
How can I be notified when the price of product drops?
You can set a price drop alert for any product directly from the Product Detail
page. The alert can be configured to notify you via email or text message.
How often are products updated on the site?
Merchant product offers are processed on a daily basis.
