Topic: Advice - Tankless Water Heaters

Posted: 5/13/2008 3:51:49 AM

Hi,

I finally decided to replace the water heater I have with a tankless one. After some research, I narrowed the choices down to two "finalists": Takagi and Rinnai tankless water heaters. Rinnai seems to have some advantages, among them higher output (8.3gpm vs. Takagi's 6.9gmp) and, most important, lower kick-off flow (0.5gpm vs. Takagi's 0.75gmp). On the other hand Takagi seems more spread than Rinnai and also I could find a lot of information for Takagi and almost none for Rinnai.
Need some advice from people who are using these water heaters.

Topic: How shall I improve my lawn

Posted: 5/11/2008 8:17:37 AM

Hi,
We have a very small garden. It is used mostly as a play area in the summer.
Recently we have had an extension built, and the builders needed to dig up the garden for some drainage. We didn't care as the lawn was terrible.
I must say that the soil is awful. It is full of stones, bits of metal, glass, middle wood chips and seems to have been back filled to some considerable level with builders sand.
In the past I have dug down say 6" and put in some new top soil, then laid some turf, but it all died off.
I have now dug over the whole site, and weeded it. If I rake it I get loads of stones and rubbish, and you can see by the colour of what soil is there that it is not good.
My question is, what should I do, to get a good looking lawn. I was thinking of ordering some more turf, but I don't want to throw good money after bad. Should I dig in some organic matter first to improve the soil?

Topic: Advice - Electric Radiant Floor Heat

Posted: 4/18/2008 3:02:02 AM

This is my first go with Electric Radiant Floor Heat, I am doing a remodel where we are tiling over a cement slab. I need to put in some Floor Heat. I have heard about two types Hydronic Radiant Heat and Electric Radiant Heat.

Can someone recommend one for me? Since I have not done it before, easy of installation is important

my visit to the store in Frederick was a disapointment. I was greated with indifference and treated with rudeness.

Topic: Deluxe Gopher

Posted: 3/21/2008 2:05:12 PM

I noticed in the product review for the subject product approximately 43% have complained about the rubber cups and their inability to secure same. I have purchased many deluxe gophers and I am always loosing the rubber cups. I now have about 5 gophers and of course I am down to one rubber cup and I need more. Do you know if the manufacturer will sell me rubber cups. If you can sell me these just give me a product or item number and I will purchase. Thanks a bunch for your time

Hi there!!

If you want to purchase furniture online, I will suggest you to visit- www.fornisca.com and www.styleourhome.com... These are the most reliable online stores of UK. Moreover, their prices are very rational. Hope you will get what you need for your home décor.

Topic: Inexpensive electric wood stove heater?

Posted: 3/5/2008 5:07:42 PM

Does anyone know what the least expensive wood stove heater is and where I can get one? I found some nice ones by Lincoln Hearth Products, but they cost $200-$270. I am willing to sacrifice durability quality to pay less, any ideas?
