A while back, Ikea had a lamp like this. It was about three feet tall, three feet wide and 8 inches deep. It looked great in the store, but ate up too much space for our house.

Pier 1 usually carries small lamps made of rice paper. Ikea had one that was a floor lamp. Absolutely gorgeous, but you'd need a large space to put it. Another option is just to make your own -- it really doesn't look like it would be that difficult.

Ive seen the same thing done with a metal frame and rice paper. It isn't great for reading, but is great mood lighting.

I wanted to install a difusor for light, in a way that I couldn't see the actual bulbs. I saw it on a movie and I wanted to do it. So, I got a wooden box and put 2 buls inside and covered the box with plexiglas that has some decoration that a friend did for me. The result is great! When is not lit, it looks like a sculpture and when its turned on, gives enough light to make the room very nice. It is definitely a "conversation" piece!
