Building bar style table

I had mine build by a professional, but I had more or less the idea of the height based on how tall were the bar stools, and how I felt more comfortable with it. The only thing is that when you have "shorter" visitors, is hard for them to get in there. So better put a suport where other people can rest their feet or help themselves to sit there.

Hi anyone out there ever build a bar style table with 41/42" h atleast. I really need help with dimensions and other minor details. This does not seem to be a very difficult project to tackle, and I am really looking forward to it.

Please help!
