My guess is it was just the breaker. That's what it's there for.

My guess is that the pool time is shot. The good news is that if it's the old metal kind, you can probably just pick up a new motor for around $30 rather than a whole new one for $65 or so.

Ooops. I was installing a new pool timer. I didn't realize that the wiring diagram had changed and when I threw on the power, there was a loud pop. Could that have just been the breaker or is the pool timer motor most likely fried? I lost daylight so I called it quits for the night.
