How hard to replace the motor in a pool timer?

If you can read wiring diagrams it's a pretty easy task. If you can't take the whole thing into the pool store and someone there may take pity and help you out.

Our pool timer isn't working. I have the option of buying a whole new timer or just replacing the motor...How hard is it to just replace a motor? Price difference is $65, $27.
