Engineered hardwood floors, laminate or linoleum work best in basements due to high resistibility to humidity.

Freestyle flooring products are easy to install. There's also laminate. Or if you want to go high end, you could spring for a radiant floor heating system. It makes your basement floor really toasty.

Due to a recent flood, the carpet in our basement had to be ripped up and removed. I am looking into alternatives to carpet and wood. My husband likes marble but I think its pricey for the basement. Any suggestions?
