I also think that Pergo is a better choice for anyone who lives in a place with high humidity. Unless you run your ac 24/7, the humidity really takes a toll on your floors over time.

So I guess using Pergo is ideal for people like me, single with no pets or kids! I guess I'll have to consider it when I do my next remodeling, specially if it is cheaper.

Pros: It is less susceptible to moisture. It's lower cost. I'd say it's ideal for active families with pets.
Cons: It has a less elegant look and cannot be refinished. Once it's scuffed or scratched you can't fix it.

Tip: The thicker laminate you buy, the more it will look and sound like real wood.

I might go with Pergo. Anyone have any pros or cons to share? It certainly looks nice in the showroom.
