The other bonus is that they match almost everything. It would be great if they develop one that's fingerprint resistant. Cleaning it with special product gets old fast.

The up side is that as long as you don't scratch them, they stay looking new and shiny a lot longer than other appliances.

The good news is that I heard that GE and Sears are both about to introduce a new stainless finish. They claim it will eliminate the fingerprint problem. The other downside is that if it get scratched it costs a ton to get it fixed up.

YES!!! if you have kids, they are hell to mantain clean! They show all the little fingers around and it really becomes a pain to be cleaning so much... but if there are only adults, then they look great!

I really like the look of stainless steel appliances...Are there any downsides other than the price tag?
