Do you have any extra carpet? You might be able to get a carpet repair guy to cut out the ruined section and sew in a patch. It's kind of drastic, but if nothing else works, at least you'd be done with it.

I was just talking to one of my friends that ended up literally shaving the carpet! She took her disposable razor and started shaving the carpet little by little and got everything out! Later her knees were hurting a bit but she is happy with the results!

Check out a store like Builders Square or Bed Bath and Beyond...I'm pretty sure I've seen fluid that you can pour on candle wax to turn it back into liquid for easy clean up.

If the iron and papertowell is not working, the only way I can think of is actually taking it out with your fingers... but it is strange that the iron doesn't work! Maybe is the type of wax. you can always "smash" the carpet a lot to make the wax very very small and then use the vacuum cleaner.

One of the Chrismas candles dropped a huge glob of wax onto my mom's carpet. The traditional iron and papertowel routine isn't working. Anyone know of another way to get the wax up?
