Depending on how sensitive you are to chemicals, you might want to wear a surgical mask while you work as well.

This is definitely a DIY project. You will need a seed spreader...there is typically some poison in the product so you don't want to touch it with your hands. Other than that, just read the directions carefully and buy high quaility product.

It won't hurt to try it once as long as you follow the directions very carefully. The problem comes if you use the product too often and burn out your grass. If once or twice a year doesn't cut it, you might want to call in the pros to get the problem under control.

should i leave this to a professional or do you think it's safe to try as a do it yourself project? i don't want to overdo either and end up fertilizing the weeds and killing the lawn, you know? lol
