oil burner cleaning

But the flip side of that is that most business comes in through referrals. If anybody ever discovered what a shady company was doing, they'd go out of business. Also, most delivery guys are more interested in making customers happy than their company. If you tell him what you want he'll probably do it in hopes of a nice tip around the holidays.

i don't think so. you should, in an ideal world, have contractors and service providers you trust and hopefully you do, so i'd say stick with what you are comfortable with. i do the same thing you do.

someone told me that i should have my oil burner cleaned by someone other than the company that delivers my oil because of the potentail conflict of interest - ie it's better for them if my burner is not running at top efficiency cause they'll then sell me more oil. i've always had a service and delivery contract with the same local company. what does anyone else think? am i being niave here?
