If you live somewhere cold, it's the best. But go for 14 watt not 9. The floor hits the preset temperature a whole lot faster.

Radiant floor heating is the best!!! It goes under the carpet or floating wood and over the foam pad, so it provides extra insulation from the cold sub-floor. The Environ II, for example, is constructed of an ultra thin heating wire that exists in four layers of foil for distributing heat. A 120-square-foot coverage costs about 40 cents a day, on average.

I'm guessing it is! And I would find someone who knows for sure what are they doing, because that could generate a fire if is not done well. I don't think I would like it, because I've met people who actually got burned with this kind of heat.

is it a huge job to install radiant heating?
