You need to get a pro to do this and the apartment complex should pay. There may be mold -- which you do NOT want to mess around with. Replacing plaster/dry wall isn't very easy either if you don't have any experience.

I have my washer/drier in a closet in my apartment. The problem is that the apartments above were damaged by water and the leak affected my walls. Can I change those walls myself? How easy is it??
