There are many types of fences, but I preffer the natural wood, specially if the fence is a bit uneven, because it looks even more natural. Check out the fence of the house of the teacher in "The Karate Kid" movie.

Go with a natural wood with a stain. It'll look great and unlike chainlink, you're kids probably won't be tempted to try to jump it.

i actually plan to fence in my whole backyard, not just my garden, but i want it to blend into my woodsy surroundings. it's mostly to keep our dogs and little boys in. any suggestions? a white picket fence would look wierd. needs to be rustic, you know?
