For most vines, you can just snip them near the base of the tree. It's a lot less harmful than all those poisons.

A quick trip to the library or garden center will help you sort out if your vines are going to die on their own or if you need to cut them out.

That depends on where you live and the type of vine. If you live up north, most likely, the winter snow will kill off most vines, saving you a whole lot of work. If you live down south, you are probably on the hook for killing the vine before it takes out your tree.

Yes, you need to keep them under control or the tree will die. To get rid of them altogether, apply weedkiller at the root.

as far as i know, the answer is yes. you don't have to peel the whole vine away. just cut it somewhere that you can reach and then it will die.

should i cut back all vines that are on my trees? do they really choke the trees?
