PRICE HISTORY
The Shun Ken Onion Paring Knife has a 4-in. long blade. This stunningly beautiful line of cutlery features the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. About Ken Onion: Designed by master knife maker Ken Onion, one of the most revered custom knife makers in the world The Shun Ken Onion series feature the clad VG-10 blade made famous in our Shun Classic line. The handsome, stick-resistant blade is combined with Ken Onion’s signature ergonomic handle design and unique blade sweep found only in a Ken Onion knife AMBIDEXTROUS handle design with an angled bolster design and stability bump on the lower portion of the handle for maximum comfort and confidence while cutting. The offset bolster actually provides the guideline of how the knife should be held properly when in use. Knife is “zero balanced” at this center point, another distinctive ergonomic design feature. All of the Ken Onion designs feature shock absorbing heels on the rear of the blade so that the blade makes contact more smoothly with the cutting board than a traditional knife design Handles are slightly elevated to allow for full contact between the knife and the cutting surface without the cook’s knuckles getting in the way. 37 steps are required to manufacture these truly unique knives, many of the steps utilize extensive hand crafting techniques NSF approved for professional use Lifetime warranty
