Shun Classic 6-Inch Utility Knife

The 6-inch Paring Knife from Shun is a lightweight blade, designed for efficient dicing, trimming, scoring or difficult angular cutting. A Japanese chef might use this for intricate, decorative cuts or garnishes, while a home chef will find it almost effortless to achieve the same, even results. Made in the ancient city of Seki, Japan, Shun knives rely on extremely sharp blades, made of Japanese VG10 steel clad with 32 layers (16 on each side) of a proprietary blend of high-carbon stainless pounded so thin, it delivers precision slicing, cutting and chopping that is unprecedented by any of its German competitors.
