"Runs great for 11 months then nothing but headaches"
Date:
8/28/2007
"I have been a long time Maytag person, but from this point on I will NEVER buy another Maytag. This dishwasher worked fine for 11 months. Then the control panel started flashing a 9 and would not run a full wash - I would start the wash and a few minutes later it would convert the wash to a 9 minute rinse only. I called Maytag and surprise surprise -- they wouldn't be able to get someone out there until after the year warrantee expired -- BUT if I purchased a 1 yr service contract right then well they would be able to fix the appliance in 5 weeks for "FREE". Being a fool I agreed and so they replaced the control panel 5 weeks later and told me without the service contract it would of cost me 389.00. So 10.5 months after replacing the control panel, guess what happens? It starts flashing the 9 again. So again I call Maytag and you guessed it -- they wouldn't be able to come out and fix it until after the extended warrantee expires. My response this time was stuff it -- you just lost a customer forever."

"MAYTAG STINKS"
Date:
9/13/2006
"I purchased this dishwasher sixteen months ago. A couple months ago my home's power went out. When the power came back on a few minutes later, all the appliances came back on except for this crappy dishwasher. There was no storm or anything unusual, the power just went out for some reason. So I called Maytag because I'd bought an extended warranty. And they say their warranty will not cover this. What?! What house in the world NEVER has a power outage? Freaking unbelievable. Now I'll throw away the Maytag and replace with anything but. Avoid MAYTAG like the black death."
