"I was looking to replace my older DeWalt 14.4v drill, because the batteries were shot. Since it would cost at least $150 to buy 2 new batteries, I decided it would be a good time to update to lithium ion. I have read a lot about them. The Makita drill has more torque than most similar drills on the market. It is also lighter than most & very comfortable to use. I found it locally between $300 & $330. This kit is a no-brainer! I am very happy with the drill. The circular saw works great, although the battery could last a little longer, but it cuts great & is very light & easy to use. The recip. saw is also a great tool. I haven't used the other tools much so far. I built a 12 x 16 shed from scratch, using only the Makita drill, circular saw, & recip saw. No extension cords at all. If you are looking for tough, heavy duty cordless tools, I highly reccomend this kit. Drawbacks: 3 batteries would be better. I plan on buying an extra one."

"Best purchace made, this kit has not once let me down, plenty of power, heavy duty, I use this kit almost everyday and have not found any flaws love the makita brand. this kit put dewalt to shame! very powerful, light, and well designed all tools have different inovative features you will not find anywhere else. Had to fight with the wife to spend the money, but now she see's how much I use it, and it's not a problem. Also still have the first 18v makita drill I bought twelve years ago, just recently replaced batteries and it still runs like new. Great brand!"
