| "GREAT idea but with a few bugs..." |

"I love the look of this machine and the ability to wash the reservoir -- the carafe does indeed keep the coffee HOT for hours and the plastic is easily wiped clean. BUT here are the issues:
1. It is really difficult to seat the reservoir on the unit -- I've pre-prepared my coffee the night before and have awoken to find water dripping all over my counter. I have been told by the manufacturer that this is due to product design and there's nothing they can do about it...which leads me to #2...
2. Their customer service is ATTROCIOUS -- when they DO reply, they basically blow you off and say things like (and I quote) "I would like to begin by apologizing for any inconvenience or frustration that you have incurred as a result of the coffee maker. Please be assured that I will be forwarding your concerns to the appropriate department within Salton. Our engineers do appreciate our consumer's comments, as it is our number one resource to obtaining the high standards and quality of products for which we strive. I trust our engineering department will appreciate your comments regarding the unit." That's it. No "let me exchange that for you" or "let me investigate your claims and remedy the situation" just "thanks for your comments!" I have been going back and forth with them for ages and am really fed up...
3. The machine does not have an auto-off feature. This is really dumb, considering the fact that the unit does not have a warmer. Once the coffee is finished brewing, it should shut off. Enough said.
4. You need to remove the carafe immediately from the machine in order to keep the coffee hot -- when the carafe is still attached, air gets into the carafe and it's icy by the time you want to drink it.
Over all, this would ROCK if the company would stand behind it and address the current issues. I'm so aggravated that the coolness of the coffee maker is overshadowed by all the stress it's caused me."
