"I have only been using this for about a month but I am thrilled with it. I was skeptical about filling through the spout but it works perfectly, I rarely open the top. The water poors smoothly and there isn't a drip to be had. The level indicator is slightly hard to read. It looks blue when there is water and it has steam on the sides when there isn't water so it looks white. Some have noted a difficulty with reading it but I don't have any trouble with this. It is very easy to set on the base. There is no need to carefully align the pot. Just fill and go. The level marks are larger than the average coffee pot. They are much closer to the typical mug. With 8 cup/mug capacity this is a pretty large. It will boil cold tap water in about 8 minutes. That is for a full pot. Count on a minute per cup shown on the indicator. I am very pleased with this and I think you will be too."

"Get rid of your old-fashioned stovetop kettle that boils dry and collects all that unsightly cooking grime. This electric kettle is just fabulous. It is very fast, especially if you need only a few cups, and it safely shuts off when it reaches a boil. It decants the hot water without dripping or other annoyances. It looks quite nice on the counter as well. The controls seem to be in just the right place. I looked at several models in a store and this one had the best overall design. The price may seem a tad high but I think it is well worth it."
