| "This is a very practical machine" |

"This is a no-nonsense automatic coffee maker. Parts of it have quality where quality makes a difference, and elsewhere is basic when basic is good enough. They hit exactly the right balance for a $200 machine.
The burr grinder is very good and better than a blade. It's positioned on the left hand side of the machine and after filling up the filter automatically swings over to the right above the pot. The purpose of this is to keep steam away from the grinder and avoid a gunky mess, which is a problem with some other automatic machines.
The designers put a lot of thought into the machine without making it uselessly complicated. You have the ability to adjust the grinder and the intensity of the coffee. For small batches like one mug, the machine has a special setting to brew it slower. This can make very strong and robust coffee, the way I like it.
On many coffee pots water accumulates on top and it drips over as you pour it. This one has a ring impression that tends to put water/condensation back into the pot without dribbling around your mug or the countertop. Just a little thing they added to the design but for a good reason that you appreciate.
The programmer is easy to use. Minimal cleanup is required -- You're probably not supposed to, but I put the parts, including the filter, in the dishwasher without any problems. There is no need to buy those stupid paper filters.
The one peeve I have about it is that there is no level inside the machine that tells you how much water you have added. In fact, most of the water goes below a charcoal filter and you can't see the level. So you have to measure the water first (i.e. in the pot) and then pour into the machine.
I wholeheartedly recommend the CoffeeTeam-S to those who simply want an unpretentious machine that makes great coffee for you every morning with easy cleanup and minimal fuss."
