"Great Switch" Date: 9/13/2007
"I am completely satisfied with the EJ500C switch. The Lutron brand was over 20 dollars more expensive and this switch functions just like it. Easy to install, moderately easy to program, and it fits perfectly into a deep standard wall switch."

"Simple Installation, flush mount, better battery system" Date: 9/11/2007
"I purchased this unit to replace an older Intermatic unit that stopped working. The old unit used one AAA battery that I was replacing once a month (though the literature said it should last a year). The new unit uses a series of three watch batteries that are only needed in the event of a power outage. Nice, but it seems strange to me that I'd have a battery backup to power the timer when it's likely that the power will be out to the items it's controlling... Anyway, the unit installed simply and flush mounts to the wall -- nothing sticks out. It works great and I don't have to replace the batteries all the time. Great price, too."

"Good but difficult" Date: 9/6/2007
"I love this timer. It does exactly what it says it does -- it adjusts for the changes in dailylight. It fits flush in the space. Downsides are several but worth overcoming. Just be aware. The writing on the unit is VERY small and hard to see. The spaces are tight for fat fingers. The unit fills the entire half of a switch box and in my case with new, thick wires and twist caps inside, I had to finagle and bend and adjust to make it fit the space. I had to remove the light switch next to it, use some of that space, and put the switch back in. The programming is a touch confusing. So much so, that after I had given it my best shot, my wife had to do it to make it work. But I'm glad I have it and would buy another the instant I had a need."

"Works great !" Date: 6/28/2007
"I should not laugh, so I will not laugh! The dumb wall timer does not know what our Congress does with our clock indicated time. This timer just adjusts the on and off times as set by our rotation around the sun, no matter what Congress or anyone else declares as " TIME ". You set the timer once to turn on and off an outside lamp and it does it with no regard to human considerations, such as acts of Congress. It works great, has a bunch of features, and once set up is just there, requiring no taught. I've installed two in seperate homes with only some minor questions about instructions. There are better instructions than included in the package if you look online. If the controlled lamp burns out, just replace the lamp and all is well again. Think about the criticism in the feedback below, my feedback and then just buy it. My only complaint is that you must include atleast a 40 Watt normal incendescent lamp if you are also turning on/off additional lamps that are CFL's. This light timer can save you about $30 or more each year on your electric bill, pays for itself in less than a year, and may prevent a car prowl or burglary. Daylight Savings time does not change the earth's orbit, if you get what I'm saying! Just do it, and save a bunch of money on your electric bill and other costs!"
