"I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the GE MWF. This would have been the first replacement of the filter. I was too short to put it in myself, so had my male friend do it for me. I'm not sure if he did something wrong - I thought it was working fine. Later that evening the fridge was "buzzing" louder than it usually did. When I opened the freezer half, there was a giant icicle inside that I tried to break off with a wooden spoon. That was difficult, and has happened apparently every time the ice machine does its thing. Of course the fridge stated to not use anything but their GE brand. I wish I hadn't tried this replacement filter. I'm giving it a 3 because the water tastes great! I just don't know what to do about all that dripping water. :-( (FYI, the Amazon seller was a 5!) "
