"Makes splitting firewood easy" Date: 9/24/2007
"I decided to purchase this axe after reading the reviews, and I was not disappointed. On the very first white oak log, I was amazed at how effortlessly it split. The second log was a more stubborn chunk, and initially, I was concerned when the axe apparently just bounced off. After inspecting the log, however, I saw that the axe had actually sunk deep into the end, but the non-stiok coating made it pop back out. One more swing at the same spot split the log. After a few dozen logs, the non-stick coating had worn off slightly, so it didn't bounce out of logs anymore, but it was still very easy to remove from the wood. I'm not sure how long the non-stick coating will last - only time will tell."

"super says it all" Date: 6/27/2007
"i have and have used many different type of axes and mauls over the years and i'v never liked any of them as much as the super splitting axe. the thing is almost unbreackable, i say almost because i broke a smaller axe last year and they replaced it for free. i'v never been able to get somthing fixed or replaced for free before. if you compare the super axe to a maul you'll see that its smaller and lighter but don't let this fool you, the fact is that it works easly and splits great and it feels like a axe not a maul (cannon ball on a stick). ow and you won't be as tired when your done splitting eather."

"Best splitting axe I've ever owned...." Date: 3/16/2007
"With a keen edge, this axe splits billets like a hot knife through butter. I recently helped a friend split two cords of seasoned pine and Russian olive wood. After letting him try the Fiskars I had a time trying to get it back from him. He's buying one also. Do yourself a favor and get the Fiskars axe sharpener. It's around ten dollars and puts a very sharp edge on your blade almost without effort... well worth the few dollars."

"Watch Your Legs" Date: 3/9/2007
"This axe is far more efficient than a typical splitting maul, and splits beyond what you would ever expect for a 2400 gram tool. I have used it on oak, madrone, maple, walnut, alder, and spruce. My 12 pound maul cannot compete."
