"I've only started cooking real food (translation: not ramen or mac and cheese) in the last 9-12 months, but I've bought quite a few knives, none of which I really liked, untill this beauty. The first thing I cut with it was green grapes for part of a salad. When I say hair thin, I really mean hair thin. It is sooo easy to work with and well balanced. It probably sounds stupid talking about the balance of a knife, but I like my fingers, I use my fingers to pick up things and to notify people in traffic what I think of them, so a heavy clumsy knife combined with very amature cutting/chopping/slicing skills in the kitchen would spell disaster. This knife fits my hands very nicely for long cuts, and lets me grab over the center of the blade when I'm doing small cuts or chopping. I'll be getting the rest of the series soon, there is no doubt about that."
