"This excellent, especialy if you have the older 14.4 batteries. I bought it when I bought new batteries for my well used drill. My old batteries were basically dead - 15 - 20 3/8 holes in oak was the limit on a charge. I was on the verge of buying those instructions for disassembling the batteries and trying to refurbish them when I decided to buy new batteries and a charger for the new batteries. It turns out the charger also refurbished the old batteries so that they are actually usable again. (They are not as good as the new batteries, but still effective."

My batteries are now like brand new. But the biggest Pro of all is the price. This same exact charger sell for $69.00 at Lowes. This is a real steal, trust me you can't go wrong."

"I bought this battery charger hoping that it would work with the firestorm batteries of the same type because the chargers sold by black and decker are hard to find and the ones that offer multiple voltages are even harder to find for this type of battery (i.e. post-type). I would like to reassure any other people in my situation by saying that this charger does, in fact, work for the firestorm batteries. As mentioned in previous reviews, it also functions well to restore the battery to better functioning."
