"Should have bought the base w/ casters. This model is the envy of every contractor who has used it. "That'll be my next table saw" is what they say. The soft start is a nice feature as the lights don't dim when the motor is fired-up. Saw does not bog under heavy loads. Would prefer either a steel top or a higher quality aluminum rather than soft cast aluminum. Any metal shavings or nails left in boards easily gouge the surface."

"I'm a amateur woodworker with a small two car garage for a workshop. Since my wife insists on parking her car in the garage at night, I don't have a lot of room left for woodworking. Therefore I chose a benchtop over the larger table saw that I really wanted. I've owned this tool for five years now, and it has performed flawlessly. I've run lots of wood through this machine and it always comes back for more. I've installed wood floors, built cabinets, and performed other odd jobs with this saw without failure. The only way this tool could ever disappoint anyone is if it were heavily abused. I also own a Bosch jig saw and Bosch router and found them to be absolutely top notch tools. I also own DeWalt, Jet, Delta, and other brand name tools with varying degrees of satisfaction. In comparison, I would recommend Bosch products without hesitation."

"I own this saw. I have probably used every table saw out there. The only problem with this saw is that it is heavy and big compared with a lot of ohter saws. It has good features, side and back extensions. Nice fence. I like the ryobi too. It is lot cheaper,light has decent power but it is not built as good as this one, interms of physical product quality. Most table saws have decent power for ripping for rough framing. This one has a bigger table, which I can use for cabinetry and finish work. this was also rated the best in FWW."
