"This is a heavy rock pick and the shipping cost shows it. However it is the best rock pick there is, and I have used it many times to look into rocks, crevaces etc. Yes, I suppose you can try and get a $5 hammer at your local hardware store to do the job, but I would rather have a heavy, nicely gripped, the "rolls royce" of rock picks, rock pick, than anything else. Peter"

"I built a long dry laid stone wall this summer. This Estwing hammer performed well is among my favorite hammers for stone... Just don't hit your hand with the chisel end... That hurts :-)"
