"This thing can't slice a tomatoe!!"

"After many years of old dull kitchen knives I went to our local kitchen shop and purchased a very good and expensive knife which came with a very techie sharpener. I tuned up all my other knifes and was successfuly cutting tomatoes. I was a happy chopper. After moving to Maui for part of the year I again needed that techie sharpener. Voila!! Searching and there it was on Amazon and all the better it was a product endorsed by one of my Cooking Chanel favourites, Rachel Ray. An all around good and a very complete and efficient system. No more cutting or chopping frustrations. Thank You Lorraine Hawe "

"Reading some of the other reviews makes me believe that I'm probably the least experienced in sharpening tools. I'm just a home cook; not a professional or expert. But I found this product extremely easy to use and I have to say, it took my most damaged knife and put it razor sharp in no time at all. The instructions are easy to follow. If I have one (very minor) concern, it would be the plastic handle. It catches when I try to rotate it open and I'm afraid it might break fairly easy. I just leave it open all the time. Other than that - I would recommend this sharpener absolutely!"
