"Simple, Beautiful, Expensive?"

"I've been using the WMF Portsmouth flatware line for about six months now, and am very pleased. All of the pieces are beautifully crafted, clean well in the dishwasher, and seem to retain their luster. Mine have only minimal scratching at this point (although, we'll see how they stand the test of time). I've never purchased another flatware set, and decided to buy a more expensive product to "get it right" the first time around. I'm not sure how this set compares to a cheaper alternative. But, all-else-equal, I am very pleased."

"Ain't No Kid's Stuff!"

"This flatware is, indeed, quite elegant and well-balanced; a set I'm sure we'll enjoy for years to come. I had originally intended to replace our current set with these, but once I caught sight of the tines on these forks, immediately changed my mind. Long and sharp is an understatement. These things could gig a frog (or a child, and I've got four of them under nine!). We'll save them for our empty-nest years. A truly beautiful set though."
