"Great Griddle" Date: 4/18/2007
"This pan is a good choice when you make anything that needs flipping like burgers, eggs, or pancakes. It's also deceptively large and can hold about six medium sized burgers. Calphalon One nonstick is great because it can take more heat than Teflon...up to 500 degrees instead of the usual 350... so it does a much better job browning meat than most nonstick griddles. Better yet, it cleans with a wipe. I do recommend using wood, bamboo, or silicone spatulas and tongs with it. The surface is tough, but with a little extra care this pan can last for decades instead of years. Oxo makes a very thin bladed nylon turner that's a perfect match."

"Definitely not nonstick!" Date: 3/9/2007
"This is my first Calphalon purchase. My only previous experiences with nonstick were generic brands from Target or Walmart which did the job decently but didn't last for very long and definitely had some sticking. Therefore, I expected Calphalon would be far superior as far as not sticking and ease of cleaning. I was sorely disappointed. Stuff definitely sticks to this pan whether you use oil or not. I was very disappointed at how non-nonstick this pan was. After reading reviews online other customers have remarked that Calphalon's anodized line without the nonstick was pretty good. I am very upset that after less than 4 uses and a lot of scrubbing with the Calphalon suggested cleaning methods the hard, stuck stuff DOES NOT come off. My griddle is ugly already and cleaning is definitely NOT easy. The one positive thing about this Calphalon product is that it cooks food nicely. I plan on contacting Calphalon and either getting a replacement, other cleaning tips (you have to be careful what cleaning methods you use so that you don't ruin it) or exchanging it for another of their nonstick products, perhaps the plain old nonstick without the anodized technology (which doesnt really seem to do much) will be better."
