"this is a great multi-purpose vase. I'm using it right now as a votive candle holder, and will use it for the rare occasion i have fresh flowers that need a vase. The workmanship is fantastic, as each one of these is hand-blown into a mold by craftsman at iittala (this is all explained in a little booklet you get in the box). I really like the petrol blue, its more of a green-blue/turquoise than blue-blue. This is the smallest I would go for a vase that needs to hold flowers, and even still you will need to cut them down significantly. Its perfect as a cool votive holder for your coffee table or shelf though!"
