"I had a Henckels slotted spatula, absolutely perfect weight, length, width, handle. Unfortunately, it was not particularly heat resistent, just resting on sides of fry pans caused problems. I used it until it breathed its last sigh and almost cried when I had to throw pieces of it away. Knowing that it was going to just be a matter of time I have been testing various spatulas for the last year or two. There is a strange desire now to make kitchen equipment that apes outside BBQ utensils. I don't want a 2 foot long handle on spoons and spatulas. I cook in a galley kitchen, and normal utensils work fine. I am hoping this one does the trick, but think I am still going to miss the Henckels and may well pay too much to buy another full well knowing it isn't practical."
