"I bought this spoon after buying several of the KitchenAid utensils and having wonderful success with them. This one is also strong, heat resistant, and useful because of the long handle. It passed the test of taking a large artichoke out of a huge pot of boiling water without bending, losing the artichoke, or getting my arm burned by splashed boiling water. I can't wait to use it for boiling a whole cabbage for stuffed cabbage. I've avoided doing that for years."

"THis spoon is beautiful & compliments all the other red KA stuff I own. I was surprised a bit by how large it was, and how heavy it was. But it really is high quality and performs well. I guess I'm used to the cheaper nylon cooking utensils I've owned. Overall, I'm glad I bought it, and it was worth the $$. It just seems a little bulky to store. Wish KA would come up with some kind of rack for these things to go on."
