"I ordered this item, but the handle gets very hot when near the heat. I would not buy it again."

"Replaces ALL the others" Date: 7/13/2007
"After years of cooking, we all have our favorite tools--the stainless steel blunt slotted spoon, the nylon long-handled stirrer, etc. This replaces all those with sturdy, cleanable, non-stick, no-scratch, long-handled, non-heat-conducting, dishwasher safe, non-scorch, . . and in a cheerful color to find easily in the drawer, if it stays in the drawer very long. I have given several as gifts and my daughter asked for a second one, which she definitely got! Your ancestor with a wooden spoon would have loved it!"

"Works as advertised" Date: 5/9/2007
"It's an awfully shallow spoon, but it's much more of a spoon than, say, a spatula."

"Get one with a heat resistant handle" Date: 10/24/2006
"This tool works fine but there are better products out there. My main problem with this spoon spatula is that the handle is made of cheap plastic that melts when you briefly lean it against the side of the pot/pan. I received a similar silicone spoon spatula as a gift and the entire spoon spatula, including the handle, was made of silicone. It was a much better product but I can't remember which company made it."
