"An excellent product" Date: 2/9/2007
"I bought the 2 qt. sauce pan to fill out a set I bought some years ago. I will probably continue to get similar pieces not because I am interested in having matched cookware but because this line offers superb quality for the price. (Having a matched set has the definite advantage of providing similar cooking qualities throughout the set so you can better predict temperature and cooking time.) Nor am I impressed because of the Cuisinart name. Give me performance over brand any day. One comparison I noticed is the balance of the pans. I have some All-Clad pieces that I love, but the handle angle makes the pan much less comfortable to work with than the Cuisinart. I am not impressed with the lids, however. I prefer something a little heavier and snugger for braising or rice cooking to hold in the steam. I finally read the booklet that came with the pan and noticed something that had escaped me in the past; they suggest not using lemon dishwashing detergent. I have now changed my ways though I have seen no problems with the other pans I have had for years. In short, these pans have the requisite heavyness, heat retention and even cooking qualities that are essential to good cooking. Add the balance, good looks and fair price and you have a definite keeper. Remember that you need to adapt your cooking practices to your tools. Not even Ron Popeil has come up with cookware that adapts to you. Z"

"Excellent value!" Date: 10/22/2006
"I've been very pleased with these pans. I've had no problems with rust, and they shine like new. I like the way the bottoms stay very flat; they work awesomely with my glass top JennAir stove. I don't find the edges to be an issue at all, and my dishwasher is just fine. I'd suggest that perhaps the fault is not in the pans but in the quality of the dishwasher; my Bosch is blemish free. I would recommend these pans to anyone who wants a good value in cookware. Mine are several years old and still look almost brand new with daily use."

"Very low quality steel" Date: 12/30/2005
"I liked the look of these pots. I bought several 2 and 3qt pots maily for boiling water for pasta, potatoes etc. The stainless steel used is very poor quality. After just over a month all of them have rust spots on the bottoms and where the handles meet the pot. After the first use I noticed small discolored spots on the inside bottoms, not your typical discoloration from heat, and they would not polish out with bar keepers friend. These spots are now where I see rust forming after each use. These are definitly no where near the quality of my all-clad and calphalon stainless steel cookware, but then again neither is the price. All said I wouldn't buy them again. Even cheap stainless steel pots and pans shouldn't rust with normal use. Even the free Cuisinart Santoku Knife I received is rusting and I've only used it 3 times. I cannot stress how bad the steel is! As far as cooking goes, they work great. The aluminum core bottoms conduct the heat well. They also have a great look aside from the rusting."

"substantial weight and hefty" Date: 12/26/2005
"I gave this as a Christmas gift to my husband. I thought it was a good price and he really enjoyed it ( he likes to cook). I have purchased other Cuisinart itmes over the years and I find they cook evenly and clean up in a snap. I would recommend this pan to others..for the price alone it is a good deal !"
