"Great , if you know what you're doing..." Date: 5/12/2007
"Good size for 4 people. Cleans up nice. Stainless is great to cook with as long as you know how to work with it. For those who don't, or don't want to learn, they would be better off with non-stick. "

"My new workhorse" Date: 11/30/2006
"I got this pot a few months ago because I needed an intermediate-sized pot to fill the gap between my 3 quart saucepan and my 12 quart stock pot and I have been amazed at the amount of use it has gotten. The 6 quart size is perfect for all sorts of uses -- cooking pasta, making soup, making applesauce, ... the list goes on. The Cuisinart Chef's Classic line is well made and nice to look at, too. The sides of the pot have a mirror finish and are beautiful. But more importantly, the bottom of the pot is thick, heavy, and distributes heat evenly, so if you are making something that requires you to saute garlic, onions, vegetables, or whatever, they will cook evenly. I also appreciate the stainless (as opposed to nonstick) interior -- it is durable and allows me to use metal utensils without worrying about scratching/ruining the cookware. Overall, this is an excellent pot at a fair price."
