"Note: Suspect I just got unlucky, but the design of the trigger lock is less than robust. I bought one of these in a local hardware store. Nice small unit, nothing fancy, but the demo unit had way more torque than a typical ni-cad cordless. Got it home, charged it up. Would only run in reverse. Moved the direction switch trigger lock to the forward direction once, and the unit let out a small amount of magic smoke and died. Store took it back nicely, traded up for a lithium Makita. Suspect I just got a bad one, other than that direction switch, the unit appears rather solidly made... and definitely has plenty of torque. And it charges way quicker than I am used to on older Ni-Cads."

Its small and easy to use but is still powerful. This new lithium ion battery stays charged for months but the IXO can be stored on the charger without damaging the battery. I like the fact that it is always charged when I need to use it. I originally received the Skil iXO as a gift and liked it so much that I've purchased several more to give as gifts."
