"I received this about a week ago and have used it twice already. I really wanted a smoker, but most looked to require a fair amount of attention. This one is basically set and forget. For my first use, I made 6 slabs of ribs in one shot and they came out great, wet and Memphis dry. It cleans up pretty easily too. The price is pretty good too, given what a grill costs. The key to this item is that it is electric and that it has a temperature control. I have been recommending it as a gift for everyone that loves to grill. It is a great step up to barbecue. My only complaint goes back to the previous model that was recalled. the unit is pretty well built, but clearly looks like a made in China product as far as overall quality. It showed up a little damaged (dented) but I was able to straighten it out. More care should have gone into the packaging, it is fine for a load going to a store, but not sufficient for UPS, etc. The shipping is pretty costly and outweighs the sales tax benefit, and the likely damage. If I was able to find it locally, I would have bought it from a regular store."
