"yes i do like this sander. works great for sanding things from 1/2" to a lot bigger that you could imagine. but don't buy a powermatic 66 like I did feb 07 and still haven't got it(Aug 07.) you will will be waiting forever with tons of excuses. "

"Excellent machine"
Date:
2/7/2007
"Good job, Jet. Love every aspect of the basic machine. Only suggestion is to offer a suitable low height stand accessory which would put the tall sander at a better useable height. Otherwise, for the money, it's a great value. High quality and superb operation. P.S. It would be helpful if the sanding tubes were offerred somewhere in multiple grits, easily accessible. Amazon please note. The basic machine comes with just the most coarse."

"Indispensable tool you never knew you needed"
Date:
1/29/2006
"Have had this tool for about a year now, and would rather give up my routers than this (though I mostly work 'unplugged' anyway) If there is a fault at all, I'd say the tilt locking mechanism is a little flimsy - do check for true if you tap the front edge with your work. Having said that, I wouldn't swap it out for a fixed top model - too useful, and it may just be that I'm a little too oafish :)"
