"Thanks to all of the reviews, positive and negative, I have had a wonderful experience with this coffeemaker. I used Natural Brew 8-12 cup paper filters, and there was no problem with the grounds going anywhere, the sides are stiff enough to stay in place. I needed to use heaping scoops of beans to have the perfect flavor. I use the carafe to fill the water, no problems. I program it to start grinding when my alarm goes off, and don't mind the sound at all. I have used it with beans and ground coffee, both were excellent. I do wish I could clean it prior to having to turn off the warmer, but that is minor. I am absolutely 100%pleased with this machine."

"Just purchased this wonderful coffemaker. It's the best I have ever owned. I am so pleased with my purchase. The only complaint is that the warmer doesn't stay on long enough to keep the coffee hot for a longer time period. But, all in all, my coffee tastes just like a gourmet coffee bar cup of coffee. Thanks Amazon once again for always making me a satisfied customer. You state the facts and have never failed me. Very happy coffee lover, Terri East TN"

"I ordered the DGB-500BKFR to be used as a secondary coffee pot. Much to my surprise and satisfaction, I now use it for my regular morning coffee. The quality of coffee it produces is delicious. The only problem (one that I am willing to live with) is the cleaning process. The grinding compartment becomes very soiled after use but I am willing to live with this because the resulting brew is outstanding."

"Bought a brand new one a few years ago. Paid $100. When it finally died, I replaced it with this refurbished one at a third of the price. Such a deal!"
