"Buy the DEWALT, don't waste your time. I tried the B&D, the first one was DOA, the second one jammed all the time. "

"So far, I have used my nail gun once; to hold a small molding in place. My impression is that it will be very usefull to attach moldings and other small wood projects. I will be pretty surprise if it works well on outdoor projects. I do not think it has the strenght to nail 2X4's. Besides, the longest nail that it takes is not long enough for some tough wood projects. I still like the simplicity of not having to use the hammer and damaging the wood in the event one misses the nail; which it often happens."

"Excellent Nailer" Date: 1/9/2007
"This is the second nailer I've owned and it is wonderful. I would definately recommend this. Make sure the batteries are freshly charged before a job because they seem to lose some of their strength in storage."

"Does the job." Date: 11/21/2006
"First thing first this is not a professional grade finish nailer, but a versatile brad nailer. It fires "pin" brads and not slight ring-shank finish nails like the pnuematic nailers fire. That being said it's a wonderful DIY/Weekend Warrior nailer. Great for installing any kind of moulding or decrocative interior trim. Keyword being interior. Being that the nail heads are non-existent you must use a fair amount of wood glue at your miters and adhesive on the walls. There is an 18 Volt Firestorm model, but the only difference is battery life. 350-400 nails estimated on the 12 volt and 450-500 on the 18 volt. If you have to nail a lot of stuff, don't worry. The 12 volt is just as good and comes with two batteries. Be warned, though. This is the oldest model of Black & Decker's nailers and as a result the batteries are a bit lackluster and require a good 24 hours to recondition themselves in the charger or else they won't work."
