"I purchased the WindChaser ICM10S Iceman Ultra Ice Maker/Crusher for the World Cup 2006 and couldn't be happier with this buy. I knew that my refrigerator's ice maker wouldn't be enough for all the people that would be coming over to watch the World Cup at my house. I live in Southern California and ice becomes a necessity here during Summer time.
It has now been over a month that my WindChaser Ice Machine has been running smoothly and making ice without any problems. Right out of the box it was easy to setup and get it going. You just have to figure out where you want to put it, plug it in, then decide how you want to pour the machine with water. There is access in the back of the machine if you want to run a direct water line, you can also use a gallon water bottle (up to 5 gallons), or manually pour in the water. It takes about 10 minutes for the first batch of Ice, you can then pick from cubes, crushed ice or cold water.
I was hesitant to purchase this Ice Machine because of the 1 bad review that this machine received here at Amazon and countless other review websites by the same person. Either this person really had problems with their WindChaser Ice Maker or they just had it out for this certain brand and model because I can honestly say that the ICM10S is a great product. The price is a little steep even here on Amazon, so shop around before you commit. I got mine from ShoppersAdvantage where you have to be a member to enjoy their lowest price guarantee, I paid $416 tax free but $18 s/h.
If there is one negative, it's the size of the machine. I have a counter in the middle of my kitchen, so I placed it there and plugged into ceiling outlet. I am sure I could have found room for it under the kitchen cabinets but I would of needed to use a different method to pour water into the machine because the Gallon Water Bottle wouldn't of fit placed ontop of the machine. If you have the room, this is definitely the best way to go."
