"When I saw this Dutch Oven I was elated. It was just what I was looking for, and the price was definitely right. I had a hard time deciding between the Loop Handles or the Coil Handle, but think I made the right choice with the Loop Handles. From what I had read in other reviews, I had some apprehension about the pre-seasoning, but had absolutely no problem with it. And it was delivered within just a couple of days. I was shocked at how quickly it arrived. My father is an avid collector of all things cast iron, so I cooked his Fathers Day dinner in it. He loved the meal, and wanted the recipe. I guess I'll be buying another one of these Dutch Ovens soon, as this is the one thing he doesn't have!!"

"This dutch oven is fantastic, easy to clean & keep clean and it's made in America, a tip I have been warned when buying cast iron as the safety standards may not be as good and cast iron is so heavy, it can cause serious harm, but it's affordable so you can't go wrong with Lodge as it's simply the best cast iron around and the cost is about the same, but I'd pay more for Lodge just to be on the safe side. It's a good thing I don't have to pay more here:-) This one even takes to tomato dishes quite well, although I try not to, but the dishes I make in my cast iron dutch oven are the best! This is my 1st and only piece by Lodge as my iron frying pans are imported & 1 is not too good and 3 are a bit better, but compared to this......well there is no comparison! I need to replace my imports with Lodge and until I do, I'll just use this wonderful lodge dutch oven. Thanks again, Amazon for the fast, free S & H and another fine product."

"I love Le Creuset enamelled cookware, and have a growing collection of that, but sometimes the thought of dropping a bundle every time I want a cast iron pan is just depressing. I got this dutch oven at a fantastic price through Amazon and am very impressed. Yes, it doesn't have the enamel coating to prevent a reaction with acidic foods, but with my other cast iron I've found that the more seasoned they are, the less they seem to react to tomatoes or wine. It's a very convenient size for a small family, and you can even use it outside."
