| "Great product, wonderful coffee. Buy with confidence!" |

"This is my first Capresso product, and I am really impressed. It produces a great cup of HOT coffee, quickly, and easily. Didn't give it 5 stars only because of the price.
The Capresso comes in an attractive box with plenty of beautiful product pictures and descriptions of the coffee maker. The machine is nicely and snugly packaged with styrofoam and cardboard. Included in the box is the coffee maker with thermal carafe, charcoal water filter, gold tone permanent #4 cone filter, and instruction manual.
The manual is one of the better manuals you'll ever see in a coffee maker. It includes highly detailed instructions, written in plain engligh, on how to set up your coffee maker and brew a great cup of coffee. It is a must read!
This machine includes a charcoal water filter that claims to totally eliminate chlorine and other stuff you don't want in your coffee. Capresso suggests that you run about 2 full pots of water through the machine to "prime" the filter. If you are lucky to have great water or already have a water filter, you do not need to operate the machine with the filter in.
The controls are easy to use and self explanatory. There are controls for setting time and auto-on feature, a 3-5 cup setting (for making half pots) an on off button, and a filter replacement indicator light. If you are the least bit intuitive you will be able to set the clock without even reading the instructions.
Making coffee is a snap. Lift up the top, pour water into the reservoir, add the ground coffee to the basket and turn on. I would suggest after you add the water, you prime the thermal carafe with hot water. This will make for a hotter cup of coffee and is something you should do with any thermal carafe.
The machine brews an entire pot of coffee quickly and quietly. If you can't wait the 8 minutes it takes to brew a full 10-cup pot, it has a pause and serve feature. You pull the carafe out of the machine, pour yourself a cup and replace the carafe.
And speakig of the Carafe, this is one of the nicest thermal caraffes I've ever seen. It is very heavy and solid feeling. The lid screws tight to keep air out (and coffee from getting out), and has an indicator to show you how far to unscrew to serve. It has small legs built in that you can use to sit on a table. And since the Capresso MT-500 doesn't have a hot plate, it is safe to pull out the carafe away from the machine and sit on the table for serving delicious coffee.
The carafe will keep your coffee warm for several hours. And this will be great coffee. Buy with confidence, read the instructions and enjoy!!"
