"We purchased two of these for our shop after initially purchasing a JDS unit (which we still have) It is very well constructed and quiet even at the highest setting. The noise level on high is not high frequency so it sounds more like white noise in the shop. The JDS unit put out a more irritating whining sound. The unit takes standard size 20 x 24 x 2 inch filters. It also has the option to add an internal 20 x 24 x 2 charcoal filter. The bag filter inside is washable. I can't see any down side except for the fact I wish you could turn off the remote feature and just turn it on with an ac switch. Its not cheap but is constructed so well that it really is a great buy."
