| "Gorgeous!" |
Date: 10/13/2008 |
"After twenty y ears of owning the Blue Velvet pattern I
decided to go with a new pattern. After two weeks of
searching probably every site out there, and every brand
name, I resolved to the Chemire Ultra collection!
The first thing I went for was a modern, elegant pattern
that I didn't think I'd grow tired of as easily. I LOVE the
pattern of the Chemire Ultra! And so do my dinner
guests! Yes, I use these for entertaining and
EVERYONE that sees them fall in love with them!!! Both
guys and gals!
Corelle's name stands behind the plates and bowls.
Actually my son and I use the "bowls" as plates and are
our most used of the sets!
I gave 4 stars because the cups are NOT corelle's glass,
it's a cheap stoneware. One cup has already chipped on
me. But they are NICE set of cups! And for the coffee
lover, less trips for refills! They are HUGE!
The other reason I gave 4 stars is because they don't
offer a "cereal" bowl. I ordered my cereal bowls out of
the Carousel line from Amazon when I ordered the
chemire, it compliments the set nicely, but the weight of
the glass is noticeable.
I also hope Corelle will come out with accessories for the
set, sugar, cream, butter dishes!
OH, the blue velvet set I had I sent to my sister who has
three young kids and a husband that are notorious for
breaking dishes. They love the pattern, the set and are
having a hard time proving me wrong with their break-
ability! ;)"

| "Very nice" |
Date: 7/24/2007 |
"Wow, this is such a nice set of dishes. They're beautiful!!!! The ONLY thing I can complain about is I think $79 for a 4 serving set of corelle is a little salty (I needed 2 sets) Not the typical $40 you'd pay for most corelle sets. HOWEVER, they are thicker, the mugs are bigger and much heavier and nicer, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. I guess I was just a bit surprised. Some people have 2 sets of dishes, one for everyday and 1 for special occassions. I'll not only use these for every day, but for guests as well. So, if you look at it like that, they are the perfect all around dishes. The bottom line is, I love them, and I'd buy them again even for the price."
