"Fingers beware! These bits bite in the box."
Date:
8/14/2006
"Sharp? I didn't realize just how sharp til trying to remove them from the finely crafted box that they came in. If your not savy about router bits as I am/was, I highly recommend the use of gloves when first removing these babies, and when you place them back in the box leave a swath of shank exposed large enough for your fingers to grasp for removal. Do they cut wood? Oh yeah! Although I'm a novice, this is my first router and first router bits, my experience so far has been highly positive. There's no resistance plunging into hardwood and cutting into or along the edge is smooth as greased bearings. The box is a work of art itself. Freud makes a HIGH quality product and this set of bits is no disappointment."

"good price for quality bits"
Date:
2/23/2003
"I am a big fan of freud bits for a couple reasons. 1: they are durable and hold a great edge; 2: they are reasonably priced for their high quality. the value here is in the set as opposed to buying them individually. this set comes in a large case which can be handy if you dont have some other storage solution already. If you are just beginning to get a router bit collection together, this is a good starting point. go for the 5 piece round over next. stick with 1/2" bits whenever possible."
